Statement of Fiscal Sponsor

 
Third World Newsreel is a media arts organization that is exempt from Federal Income Tax, New York State Franchise Tax and New York City General Corporation under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).  Third World Newsreel is not a private foundation within the meaning of section 509(a) of the code, because it is an organization as described in sections 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1)(a)(vi).

Third World Newsreel has agreed to act as fiscal sponsor for the project described as

WARRIOR SAINTS

As fiscal sponsor, Third World Newsreel will receive, record and administer grants and contributions from funders and donors on behalf of the sponsored artist/artistic institution and in accordance with funders' contracts.  Third World Newsreel will assume responsibility for submitting to the funders a final report confirming that monies have been spent in accordance with the service(s) as contracted. 
 
Sponsors may contribute to the project by sending checks made out to Third World Newsreel.   The project name, WARRIOR SAINTS, must be included in the memo section of the check.   While checks must be made out to Third World Newsreel, they should be sent to the attention of the sponsored artist for tracking purposes.   The address of the sponsored artist is:
